Brushes for make up application

When applying eyeshadow to the eyes, make sure you have the correct tools ie; make up brushes.
Using the correct brushes will result in an even application and therefore more than one colours can be blended together.
I prefer using a small, short bristle brush to apply the colour on the lid of the eye. Thereafter, I use a soft, medium brush to blend the shadow into the rest of the eye.

For best results, also use brushes which are made with natural hair. There are different types of hair used, such as: pony, goat, squirrel. these are the best, but can be very pricey.

Sponge applicators are nice to use for intense colour, where blending is not required. Also for cream based eye shadows.
Synthetic brushes are also good to use with cream eye shadows.

Most cosmetic houses sell make up brushes.
For professional brushes, visit MAC cosmetics, Bobbi Brown and the latest cosmetic brand, Inglot.
They have a vast range of professional brushes, brush belts, brush cleaners, etc.

To come back to the professional brands, Inglot is a new cosmetic company that has been in existence for 10 years now. With make up shops opening all over the world, they are becoming the new fad in make up for the make up fundi and make up artists.
They have a good selection of make up brushes and the price is more affordable than most cosmetic houses.
