This is a typical 80's look with peplum dresses, jackets and skirts. Also typical of Dior's fashion in the 40's. This design is great to hide your tummy provided that you choose a peplum slightly higher than your waistline. Great to give balance to your shoulders, creating an hourglass silhouette, especially if you have very arrow hips. If you think you have a big butt, your option would be a peplum top or jacket.
